The Villa is located at 216 Elk Springs Trail, Kamiah, Idaho 83536.
The nearest town, Kamiah, is about 20 minutes away. There is a grocery store there. If you’re flying into Lewiston many people choose to shop at the Costco, WinCo, Walmart, or other grocery stores in Lewiston and nearby Clarkston.
The closest airport is in Lewiston. It’s about two hours from the Lodge and Villa. This airport isn’t always the most convenient, and often people choose to fly into Spokane, WA or Missoula, MT.
You can look for Elk Springs Villa your maps or go to this link; the Lodge is in the same general location. The only difference is that you would turn onto the road just past the driveway to the Villa (which is Elk Springs Trail) and then the Lodge is your first right.
If you’re traveling Eastbound on Hwy 12, just keep going through the town of Kamiah until you cross the bridge, just after the park. Turn left after the bridge onto Woodland Rd. It’s the turn immediately after you cross the bridge. (If you are traveling Westbound on Hwy 12, turn onto Woodland Rd. right before the bridge.) Less than a mile down that road you’ll reach the dumpsters, and a turnoff to Glenwood Rd. This is the second right–the first one being the Beaverslide. Turn right onto Glenwood Rd and continue up the mountain on that road until you reach School House Rd. It’s about 11 miles on this road and assuming you go 35 mph it’s approximately 20 minutes up the mountain. There is a little white one-room schoolhouse (there’s a sign in front of it that says “Glenwood Schoolhouse”) and you take a left onto School House Rd right after the schoolhouse. Less than a mile on that road (.8 miles) turn right onto Elk Springs Trail. The first right is Elk Springs Lodge.
In and around Kamiah, Verizon works pretty well. Once you leave Kamiah and start up Glenwood Road you’ll lose cell service within a mile. You can use Wifi calling or other apps to communicate once you arrive at the Lodge or Villa. There is also a landline at the Villa.
There are so many events that happen throughout the year here! Please see our Local Events page to see if you’ll be here during one of them. Annie’s Lunchbox is a favorite for lunch. For dinner in Kamiah the Pizza Factory and the Kamiah Bar and Grill are popular. For Mexican food there is Palenques in Kamiah or in nearby Orofino there is Jaliscos. Also in Orofino there is Augie’s and House of Juju.
The Villa offers a stocked kitchen (including a Keurig and a 14-cup drip coffee maker), linens and towels, soap and shampoo, an iron, blow dryers, WiFI, and a printer to name the basics.
